The Inclusive Museum Conference is held annually in different locations around the world. The inaugural Conference was held at the National Museum of Ethnology, Leiden, the Netherlands in 2008, the Second International Conference on the Inclusive Museum was held at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia in 2009, the 2010 Conference was held at Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey and the 2011 Conference was held at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa

Plenary speakers include some of the leading thinkers in museum studies and leading practitioners, as well as numerous paper, colloquium and workshop presentations.

The 2012 Conference will be held at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, Barbados August 2-5.
