International Conference on the Inclusive Museum

The Inclusive Museum Conference is held annually in different locations around the world. The inaugural Conference was held at the National Museum of Ethnology, Leiden, the Netherlands in 2008, the Second International Conference on the Inclusive Museum was held at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia in 2009, the 2010 Conference was held at Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey, the 2011 Conference was held at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa, the 2012 Conference was held at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, Barbados and the 2013 Conference was held at the National Gallery of Denmark, Copenhagen, the 2014 Conference was held at the Autry National Center of Los Angeles, USA, the 2015 Conference was held at the National Science Museum, New Delhi, India, the 2016 Conference was held at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, Cincinnati, USA, the 2017 conference was held in Manchester Museum, Manchester, UK , the 2018 conference was held in University of Granada, Granada, Spain.

Plenary speakers include some of the leading thinkers in museum studies and leading practitioners, as well as numerous paper, colloquium and workshop presentations.

The 2019 Conference will be held at Buenos Aires, Argentina, 7-9 November.
